Dr. Josephine Marion Zimba-Chirwa is a Lecturer in Environment and Development. She possesses a PhD in Environmental Geography and Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow with particular focus on situated resilience to climate change. In her postgraduate research, she has focused on how environmental challenges are experienced by urban and rural communities differently, and the distinct ways each responds to these challenges. She is currently a member of the National Technical Committee on Climate Change.Overall, her work focuses on helping communities become more resilient to environmental changes.
