ODL Admission
The LUANAR, Open and Distance (ODL) Directorate is dedicated to increase equitable access to market relevant agricultural programmes through flexible learning environment which aligns with LUANAR’s vision of becoming a world class university in teaching and learning excellence. Its vision is to be a center of excellence in open and distance learning in agriculture, rural development and natural resources. Its Mission is to provide equitable access to quality university education through sustainable open and distance learning innovations.
The ODL Directorate was established in 2016 with an initial enrolment of 441 students. As of January 2020, the student enrollment was over 2700 students. Currently, LUANAR ODL offers seven academic programs: Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, Bachelor of Science in Extension,Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Innovations, Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Development Economics and Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Youth Development .
